Comments
  • ḥm nṯr ꜥꜣ m Ꜣbḏ,w: An alternative rendering of this clause is: ‘I am the priest of the great one in Abydos’ (Anthes 1974, 43).

    Commentary author: Elizabeth Frood

  • ṯs nfr-ḥꜣ.t: Anthes (1974, 42, with 43, n. f) tentatively read the sign following ṯs as mḏḥ, giving the translation: ‘Der mit festen Fingern beim Anlegen (des mḏḥ-Stirnbandes und?) des nfr-ḥꜣt-Kopfschmuckes’. I prefer to read S10A as a determinative for ṯs based on the occurrence of the same sign in col. 4. Here the sign is followed by the first person stative ending and refers to ritual/mortuary wrappings.
