  • wḥwḥ r wird hier als "aggressiv anbellen" in einer rhetorischen Frage verstanden, d.h. man beleidigt/verflucht seinen Vorgesetzten nicht (so Vernus, Sagesses, 326 und 345, Anm. 210). Andere Interpretationen sind einerseits "aus Dankbarkeit zum Herrchen bellen" oder "ihn begrüßen", und andererseits "für das Herrchen bellen", um ihn zu warnen.
