  • - stp: Die übliche Übersetzung ist "auswählen" (Habachi, Second Stela, 39; Smith / Smith, Texts, 61 u.a.). Redford, in: E. Oren (Ed.), The Hyksos, 15 mit 30 Anm. 151 bleibt bei der Grundbedeutung "auslösen, zerlegen" ("he has chopped up"). Wie immer schwanken die Übersetzungen zwischen Perfekt / Präteritum (u.a. Habachi; Redford; Kaplony-Heckel, Kriegszug, 532; Hofmann, Königsnovelle, 119) oder Präsens (z.B. Smith / Smith; Stadelmann, Beitrag, 64; Wente, Letters, 26).
    - ḫb(ꜣ).n=f st: Krauss, in: Orientalia 62, 1993, 25 mit Anm. 53 interpretiert es als Umstandssatz: "nachdem er sie geschwächt/gemindert hat": Ziel Kamoses ist es, die beiden Gegner zu schwächen, ihre Länder zu schädigen; der Brief des Hyksos stammt aus einer Zeit, als das Hyksosreich noch nicht zerstört ist und wenn Kusch zerstört gewesen wäre, hätte ein Hilferuf auch nichts mehr gebracht. Ebenfalls als vorzeitig fasst es noch Stadelmann, Beitrag, 64 auf. Als Kontinuativform "Er wählte ... und er verheerte u.ä." haben es Habachi, Second Stela, 39; Redford, in: E. Oren (Ed.), The Hyksos, 15. Als eigenständigen Satz mit Nennung des Resultats der feindlichen Aktion: "Er hat die zwei Länder gewählt ... Er hat sie zerstört" u.ä., Kaplony-Heckel, Kriegszug, 532; Wente, Letters, 26; Brein, Pharaonen und Fremde, 274; Simpson, Literature, 348; Hofmann, Königsnovelle 119.
