  • pry: Die Bedeutung ist mehr oder weniger geraten; man fühlt sich an das europäische Zünftesystem erinnert, in dem der Geselle nach der Gesellenprüfung ein Jahr auf Wanderschaft ging. Derartiges ist für Ägypten allerdings kaum anzunehmen. Ob man vielleicht, wie es ja auch der Kontext ermöglicht, darin den Handwerker erkennt, der sozusagen in den Außendienst geschickt wird, während andere in der Werkstatt bleiben (dürfen/müssen)?
