  • Warum es mehrfach in der Überlieferung der Qadesch-Schlacht wichtig ist, dass die Feinde "an ihren Stellen" getötet werden, ist mir unklar. Könnte hier vielleicht auch eine übertragene Bedeutung wie im Deutschen "auf der Stelle" im Sinne von "sofort" gemeint sein? KRI übersetzt jedenfalls "on the spot", was beide Möglichkeiten eröffnet, während Gardiner, Kadesch Inscription, 21, und ihm folgend Von der Way, Textüberlieferung, 311 Anm. e, sich für die lokale Interpretation entscheidet.
