zni̯=sn: Gardiner, Admonitions, 99 trennt diesen Satz ab und übersetzt sehr zögerlich "they are like what is past (??)". zni̯ r ist aber gut belegt in der Bedeutung "nachahmen" (zuerst Lichtheim: "From the first generation to those who come after, / They imitate that which is past").
