Die Orthographie jbw passt zu demot. ꜣbw (Erichsen, Glossar, 3) und kopt. ⲉⲃⲱ (S, A), ⲉⲃⲟⲟ (A), ⲉⲃⲟ (B), ⲙⲡⲟ (S), ⲉⲙⲡⲟ (S). Der Klassifikator der Vogelfalle T27 ist vermutlich durch das Wort jbṯ.t mit demselben Wortanfang hervorgerufen.
