    - jz zẖꜣ.w: Das Wort jz ist mit dem Pflanzendeterminativ versehen. Es wird allgemein als ein Fehler für jz: "Büro" oder "Werkstatt" verstanden, was bedeuten würde, daß die Ausbildung direkt im Verwaltungsgebäude geschah und nicht in der ꜥ.t-sbꜣ n zẖꜣ.w: "Schreibschule".
    - bw wꜣḥ=w nṯr: Siehe Wilson, The Oath in Ancient Egypt, in: JNES 7, 1948, 135.
    - bn zẖꜣ=〈w〉: In den frühen Bearbeitungen (Erman, de Buck, Wilson) wurde hier das Substantiv "die Schriften" oder der Infinitiv "das Schreiben" in einem negierten Substantivalsatz erkannt, z.B. "die Bücher sind gar nichts" (Erman) und "writing is nothing at all" (Wilson).
