  • psš=f m ḫrw: diese ägyptische Redewendung wird unterschiedlich gedeutet. Erman, Literatur, 126 hat "wenn er Anteil an der Stimme hat (d.h. wieder sprechen kann?)", Scharff versteht "(er) wird seiner Sprache wieder teilhaftig". Gardiner (bei Faulkner) übersetzt "At last he sat down and broke silence", was Faulkner wörtlich als "(he) divided (the silence) with the voice" auffaßt. Lichtheim übersetzt "he broke out saying", Parkinson hat "and (he) argues / saying" und Mathieu versteht "À la fin il s'assit, éclatant en sanglots". Hannig, Handwörterbuch, Marburger Edition, 312 hat: "mit gebrochener Stimme sprechen". Für Goedicke bedeutet es, daß der kleine Mann die Meinung ("Stimme") des Ba teilt.
