  • - jw sḏm-rʾ: Goedicke, 34, Anm. (an) erkennt ein Substantiv sḏm-rʾ: "Zeugnis", das nicht in den Wörterbüchern verzeichnet ist (Schenkel, 12 übersetzt ebenfalls mit "Zeugnis"). Beylage, 31, Anm. 25 lehnt dieses Kompositum sḏm-rʾ ab und liest jw sḏm(.w) m rʾ n rmṯ: "Man hört doch die Meinung der Menschen", d.h. mit einem unpersönlichen jw sḏm=ø Passiv (eventuell ist das nachfolgende Zitat das Subjekt). In Zl. 12 wurde sḏm ebenfalls ohne phonetisches Komplement m geschrieben. Vgl. Brunner, 372: "Man hört als Sprichwort im Munde der Menschen jenen Ausspruch der Großen"; Vgl. Vernus, 361: "On en entend parler dans le propos des gens"; Vgl. Parkinson, Poetry and Culture, 259: "Repute (sḏm) is in the speech of men, / as that verse which is upon the mouths of the great ones."
    - nḏs.w: Lesung Goedicke, gefolgt von Beylage. Das Wort ist nur mit dem schlechten (?) Vogel geschrieben. Vernus, 361 übersetzt hingegen mit "les Anciens", d.h. er versteht wr.w (so vorhin schon Gunn, in: JEA 12, 1926, 282, Anm. 2; ebenso Brunner, Parkinson).
