  • oder: Werden zu dir (weitere Leute) herbeigeführt (?), wenn (schon) eine Truppe bei dir ist für die Einteilung in Ackerland.

    Der Satz bietet mehrere grammatische und interpretatorische Schwierigkeiten.
    - Unklar ist, ob sk.w das Subjekt von sṯꜣ.tw ist, oder ob es das Subjekt eines Umstandssatzes sk.w ḥnꜥ=k: "eine Truppe ist bei dir" ist. Im zweiten Fall ist sṯꜣ.tw unpersönlich und es wird entweder so verstanden, daß weitere Arbeiter hinzugezogen werden oder, daß Bestechungsgeld gebracht wird.
    - Da n die übliche Präposition bei sṯꜣ ist für die Bedeutung "herbeiführen zu jemandem", wird es hier auch so übersetzt und nicht mit Vernus als ein Dativ.
    - In dieser Handschrift steht psš.t m šd.wt, in der Handschrift B1 steht ein direkter Genitiv psš.t šd.wt.

    Man vergleiche die Übersetzungen:
    - "Are troops brought to thee to accompany thee for the divisions of the ground-plots?" (Gardiner, in: JEA 9, 1923, 19; ähnlich Faulkner, in: Simpson, The Literature of Ancient Egypt, 46 mit Anm. 68: "are men ushered in to you, troops being with you, at the division of the field-plots?"; ähnlich Vernus, in: CdE 57/114, 1982, 246: "fait-on pour toi appel à des troupes avec toi pour effectuer le partage des parcelles?");
    - "Et on t'apporte (des cadeaux) quand tu es accompagné de soldats pour (procédér à) des partages de terrains." (Lefebvre, Romans et contes, 66; ähnlich Kurth, Der Oasenmann, 93 und 138: "und bringt man dir Geschenke, wenn die Bewaffneten bei dir sind wegen der Felderanteile?");
    - "Does one give to you and the troop with you at the division of plots?" (Lichtheim, Literature, I, 180);
    - "Man schleppt dir ja (noch weiter) zu, / wenn (schon) ganze Schlachtreihen mit dir sind, um den Grund und Boden aufzuteilen." (Hornung, Gesänge vom Nil, 26); vgl. "(Someone) is ushered before you / while your carriers are with you to share the plots!" (Gnirs, in: LingAeg 8, 2000, 143).
