  • - ḥnq.t nḏm.t: Nach W. Helck, Das Bier im Alten Ägypten, Berlin 1970, 17-20 bezieht es sich ursprünglich auf ein Getränk nḏm, das aus der Johannisbrotfrucht gewonnen wurde, und dann mit dem Zusatz hnq.t "Flüssigkeit" versehen wurde und in den med. Texten als ḥnq.t nḏm.t weiterlebt; a.a.O. 77 war nḏm das "normale Bier" in der 3. Dyn. (nach W. Helck ein Hinweis auf das Alter der med. Texte); vgl. auch W. Helck, in: LÄ I, 1975, 789. Nach R. Germer, Die Heilpflanzen der Ägypter, Zürich 2002, 151 ist nḏm Bier, dem die Hülsen des Johannisbrotbaums (Ceratonia siliqua L.; siehe Germer, Flora, 85 und dies., Handbuch der altäg. Heilpflanzen, 91) beigegeben wurden.
