  • - n{n} ḏi̯=j: Sinngemäß liegt hier ein Vergangenheitstempus vor, d.h. es ist in n{n} zu emendieren; so schon Gardiner, Defeat, 106; auch Smith / Smith, Texts, 54; anders Redford, in: E. Oren (Ed.), The Hyksos, 14: "I was not going to let him escape" (übernommen von Ayedi, Expulsion, 72). Kroeber, Neuägyptizismen, 61 wertet nn als Graphie von n. Gunn, Studies in Egyptian Syntax, Paris 1924, 121, Nr. 3 und Gardiner, EG, § 457 ordnen es als "past future tense" ein (siehe auch Gunn / Gardiner, in: JEA 5, 1918, 46 Anm. 7), aber damit wäre es ein völlig singulärer Beleg für ein solches Tempus; Gunn erwägt noch als einzig andere Möglichkeit: nn + Inf. + logisches Subjekt: "nicht gibt es mein Erlauben, daß er entkommt"); Gardiner, EG, § 457 erwägt auch die Möglichkeit eines Fehlers für n sḏm=f.
