  • Die Bedeutung „Exil; Verbannung“ (o.ä.) wurde von Gardiner, Hieratic Papyri I, 16 mit Anm. 11 vorgeschlagen („roaming the earth“ bzw. „exile“), wobei er auf rt. 8.20 verweist, wo dem Begriff noch als Determinativ das „Bein“ (D56) beigegeben worden ist, sowie auf seine Ausführungen in Gardiner, Notes on the Story of Sinuhe (1916), 61, wo er die Belege aus Sinuhe bespricht. Sie wurde von den anderen Übersetzern übernommen. Die Übersetzung „Landesverrat begehen“, die im TLA (WCN 858933) verzeichnet ist, erschließt sich jedoch weder aus den dort gegebenen Belegstellen bzw. deren Kontexten noch den genannten Referenzen, so dass hier Gardiners Deutung vorbehaltlich bevorzug worden ist.
