  • Diese Gruppe ist in ihrer Ausdeuting ambivalent. Szpakowska, Behind Closed Eyes, 82 bevorzugt hier die wörtliche Ausdeutung: „(it means) eating (off) his fellow citizens.“ Gardiner, Hieratic Papyri I, 12 ging davon aus, dass der Mann die Nahrungsmittel seiner Mitbewohner zum Verzehr erhält/gewinnt: „eating (the possessions) of his townfolks“, ähnlich Bresciani, L’Égypte du rêve, 70: „Cela signifie qu’il nourrira (enrichira de biens) ses concitoyens“. Leitz, Traumdeutung, 237 geht davon aus, dass die Stadtbewohner genug zu Essen erhalten: „Essen seiner Stadtbewohner (d.h. sie haben genug zu leben).“
