  • Die Übersetzung wird verschieden diskutiert; Hauptunterschied dabei ist, wer das Agens von m ḫpi̯ ist. So übersetzen Collier & Quirke, UCL Lahun Papyri, 58: “Examination of a women who is ill from her uterus wandering”. Die Idee, dass die Ägypter die griechisch, hippokratische Vorstellung vom wandernden Uterus teilten, bzw. vielmehr ihr Urheber seien, ist in der Ägyptologie weit verbreitet, s. Rodabaugh Suvorov, The Kahun papyri in Context: The ‘Floating Uterus’, in: R. Dann e.a. (eds.), Current Research in Egyptology 2004. Dagegen s. Bednarski, Hysteria revisited.
