  • Da die Dioskuren die Schutzpatrone der Seeleute sind (vgl. die Anm. von Griffith/Thompson), garantieren sie zusammen mit dem vorher angeführten "Maskelli-Logos" die Rettung des Schiffes, nicht - wie man auf den ersten Blick meinen würde und wie es der Wortlaut des Originals und dementsprechend die Übersetzungen in der Tat unfreiwillig suggerieren (... "a ship which is about to founder on account of the names of Dioscorus, which are within") - dessen Untergang. Die Setzung eines Kommas vor "wegen der Namen" versucht, diesem Mißverständnis ein wenig entgegenzusteuern.
