  • Brunsch in seiner ed. princ. S. 75(e) will die verlorenen Namen auf Grund von "Bell's Law" als Hippike und Diasthenes (so die richtigen, im Druck entstellten Formen) ergänzten, erliegt dabei aber einem gravierenden Irrtum: Die genannte Regel besagt nämlich, daß die Athlophore des einen Jahres in der Regel die Kanephore des Folgejahres ist (vgl. Clarysse et al., Eponymous Priests, 3). Hippike war aber die Athlophore des Jahres 52, vermutlich im Jahr 53 also Kanephore (nach Clarysse, Epon. Priests gibt es keine Belege). Die Kanephore des Jahres 51, aus dem BM 10398 datiert, müßte also die Athlophore des Jahres 50 gewesen sein, die jedoch unbekannt ist.
