  • - Für Faulkner ist km das Substantiv "Gewinn" (gegen die ältere Übersetzungshypothese von Sethe, Erläuterungen, 62: "Ziel (?)"). Assmann übersetzt km=k mit einer selbständigen Relativform des Verbs km: "vollenden": "What is it that you want to bring to an end, / caring about life as a possessor of treasures?".
    - Goedicke, Lichtheim, Lalouette, Hannig (Pseudopartizip, 82 mit Anm. 2), Assmann, Lohmann, Mathieu, Tobin und Quirke schließen den nächsten Satz an: "Was bringt es dir, wenn/daß du ...". Falls mḥi̯.y=k wirklich ein abhängiger Nebensatz wäre, erwartet man vielleicht eher mḥi̯=k.
