  • Zur Bezeichnung der Sachmet als "Gebräu der Nacht" s. Hornung, S. 56, Anm. 40. Lichtheim, S. 199 mit Anm. 7 verstand dagegen dieses Gebräu als Anspielung auf das im Folgenden erwähnte Bier (so auch Wente, S. 291).

    r rh〈n〉i̯.t ist entweder r + Infinitiv (so Hornung, S. 39: "um zu waten"; vgl. auch Guilhou, S. 30, Anm. 39, die hierin das Prädikat einer pseudoverbalen Konstruktion mit šbb.t n.t grḥ als Subjekt sah) oder Partizip mit als r geschriebenem j-Protheticum. Das fehlende n (bei Ramses III. ist es mitgeschrieben) erklärt sich wohl aus der graphischen Ähnlichkeit (v.a. im Hieratischen) mit dem Wort thi̯: "eilen". Borghouts, S. 75 schloss r rḥni̯.t ḥr snf=sn noch an den vorigen Satz an, las das Suffixpronomen hinter šꜣꜥ mit und betrachtete ḫpr ... grḥ als Parenthese: "eerder dan te waden in hun bloed; ik wil beginnen bij Nensoe".
