  • - Thot und dessen sich in Hermopolis befindliches Kultzentrum Wnw stehen in Zusammenhang mit unerwünschten Zwischenblutungen (allgemein und in der Schwangerschaft) und der Menstruation, denn "von Haus aus wäre Thot als der Herr über den Mond und die Zeitrechnung dazu berufen, über die Menstruation gewalt zu haben. Die Zusammenhänge zwischen dem Mond und der 'Menses' dürften den Ägyptern nicht entgangen sein, ..." (Westendorf, in: ZÄS 92, 1966, 153). S. dazu auch Grapow, Grundriß I, 90, III, 11.
    - Wnw: "Hermopolis Magna" und wnw.t Wortspiel, wie schon von Grundriß IV/2, 158 festgestellt und von Borghouts, Mag Texts, 103, Anm. 82 wiederholt wurde.
