The majesty of (my) lord also sent me #lc: [11]# to the land of the Asiatics to bring him (the body of) the ⸢sole companion⸣, carpenter, overseer of workmen and acculturated foreigners, Ankhti who had been building a seagoing ship there for Punt.

  • For the meaning of this title see Jones 2000: 78 (no. 339). Lichtheim (1988: 16) translates "ship's captain".

  • The word mḏḥ means carpenter and it is probably followed by the sign S 10 instead of O 48 (Nekhen), cf. Strudwick 2005: 335 and Jones 2000: 462-463 (no. 1726). There are no traces of the sign V 31 [k] after the word mḏḥ on Edel's copy, so the reading of the name "[K]ꜣ-ꜥpr" is unlikely, cf. Urk. I 134, 14 and Edel (Seyfried/Vieler, eds.) 2008: 684 and pl. XXXIII. The titles probably belong to the same person called An-ankhet, to whom the enclitic pronoun sw in the next sentence refers.
