  • Le nom du propriétaire du papyrus est remplacé par le terme générique mn "un tel". La provenance du manuscrit est inconnue tout comme les circonstances de sa découverte. Il est possible qu'il s'agisse initialement d'un exemplaire servant de "mastercopy" et provenant d'un atelier de scribe. Il est néanmoins certain que le papyrus a été employé comme viatique d'éternité puisque des traces d'élément de momification ont pu être décelées.
