  • Da das Wort für „Geflügelfett“ lediglich abgekürzt mit dem Zeichen G39 geschrieben wird, erschwert dies die genaue Identifizierung der Fettsorte. Klar ist, dass es sich um eine Art Geflügel handeln muss, jedoch gibt es mehrere Vogelarten, die im Ägyptischen mit G39 klassifiziert werden können, wie z.B. mn.t, rʾ, s, s.t, sr, ṯrp. Es ist insofern auch zu vermuten, dass das Rezept nicht unbedingt eine bestimmte Sorte vorgeschrieben hat und der Arzt folglich jegliches Geflügelfett verwenden durfte.
