Lange hat das =k übersehen bzw. als einen zufälligen Strich eingestuft, so daß Vers 7.17 dann keinen vollständigen Satz bilden kann, sondern mit 7.18-19 zusammen gehört: "wer den sich unrechtmässig aneignet auf dem Felde (...) wird doch durch die Macht des Mondes gefangen". Griffith hat =k erkannt, hält es aber für eine antike Verschlimmbesserung und übersetzt wie Lange. Fast alle späteren Bearbeiter gehen ebenso vor, nur wird n sḫ.t auch als "for fields" (Simpson) oder "pour en faire (litt.: comme) un champ" (Vernus) übersetzt. Für Groll, Non-verbal Sentence Patterns in Late Egyptian, London 1967, 66, Nr. 206 ist m ein m of predication: "A ploughed furrow which is worn level in the process of time, is he that wrongfully seizes it, [namely,] the field." Nur Laisney berücksichtigt alle Wörter des Verses: "ce que tu as extorqué, cela appartient aux champs".
