  • ꜣd appears positively in a similar context in 9.1. Its orthography makes a relation to ꜣd: "worry about, take care over" (Wb. I, 24.23) unlikely; more probably it is an extension of ꜣd: "smear" (Wb. I, 25.1), perhaps meaning 'to smooth' (Hannig 1995: 18). (see: R.
