- qr.t: Wird von Allen, Art of Medicine, 83 mit "sinus" übersetzt. Dann wären mit qr.t die Nasennebenhöhlen gemeint. Vielleicht sind aber die Vertiefungen, das Relief des Gesichts gemeint (so Breasted, Surgical Papyrus, 250; MedWb II, 888-889). In MedWb II, 888-889 ist es als das Lemma qr.t transliteriert, in Wb. V, 62.1 ist es unter qrr.t eingetragen (DZA 30.402.570). qrr.t kann auch von den Gesichtsöffnungen verwendet werden.
- ḏbꜣ: Wird von Breasted als das Verb ḏbꜣ: "bekleiden, versehen" verstanden, Ebbell geht vom Verb ḏbꜣ "ersetzen, vergelten" aus. Im Grundriss IV steht die dritte Möglichkeit: ḏbꜣ: "verstopfen, verstopft sein". In MedWb II, 1001 sind die drei Bedeutungen unter einem einzigen Lemma eingetragen, wobei für qr.t ḏbꜣ.w die Bedeutung "verstopfen" angesetzt wird. ḏbꜣ(.w/tj) ist ein Stativ Plural zum femininen qr.t nb.t (Westendorf, Grammatik, 79, § 118.1 und 117, § 163.gg).
