  • Die Datierung beruht auf paläographischen Kriterien, durch die der Papyrus wohl am ehesten in der Mitte oder der zweiten Hälfte der 19. Dynastie (Merenptah oder Sethos II., ca. 1213–1198) zu verorten ist (Gardiner 1935 I, 46). Gardiner erkannte keine spezifischen „late forms“, d.h. solche aus der 20. Dynastie. Quack (Die Lehren des Ani, OBO 141, 1994, 10) tendiert zur späten 19. Dynastie.
