  • Das erste Zeichen ist ein Kind. Auf Stele BM 573 (DZA 24.314.780) wird Mehun mit dem Kind determiniert, auf anderen Stelen mit einem Messer oder einem hockenden Gott. Ist das Kind Determinativ zu jw.tt oder steht es für den Gott Mehun (eventuell ist das Determinativ auf Stele BM 573 ein phonetisches Determinativ zu ḥwn)? Die übliche Formel lautet mz.tw n=f ꜥ.wj ẖr ḥtp.t m ḥꜣb.w nw ẖr.t-nṯr ḥnꜥ šmsw.w n Wsjr (Abydosformel 1; Stele BM 567, Zl. 5) bzw. mz n=f Mḥwn ꜥ=f ẖr ḥtp.t n.t nṯr-ꜥꜣ (Abydosformel 17; Stele BM 567, Zl. 15-16; Var. m ḥtp.t auf Stele Louvre C 3, Zl. 19). Hier scheint eine Vermischung der beiden Formeln vorzuliegen, zudem eine Veränderung der Wortanordnung. Spiegel, 125 erkennt einen Imperativ: "Mehun, reiche die Arme mit dem Opfer...!". Grammatisch problematisch ist die Übersetzung von Lichtheim, 112: "May Mehun extend hands with offerings". Simpson, 12 hat Leseschwierigkeiten: "... that there come to him everything that exists as the offering of the arms with the offering which comes forth ..."
