- jf: Verb mit G37 (dem sog. negativen Vogel) als Determinativ: Breasted, Surgical Papyrus, 483 übersetzt „injuring“ ohne weitere Kommentierung. Im Index (S. 514) nennt er Kol. 1.6 als weiteren Beleg, aber dort ist nichts zu finden. Das transitiv verwendete Verb steht in MedWb 47 als „Verbum unklarer Bedeutung“ mit pEdwin Smith als einzigem Beleg. Als mutmaßliche Übersetzungen werden „to injure“ (Breasted), „Schaden nehmen (?)“ (Westendorf), „to be defiled“ (Borghouts) vorgeschlagen. Es findet sich nicht in Faulkner, CDME oder in Hannig, HWB. Ein unklares jf in CT IV, 21a ist vielleicht zu jzf.t zu emendieren (Faulkner, Ancient Egyptian Coffin Texts I, 1973, 209, Anm. 14). Liegt ein Wortspiel mit ꜥff „Fliege“ vor?
