Comments

  • - Interpretation: wenn du einen Haushalt gründest, in dem dir ein Sohn geboren wird, dann hast du in deinem Sohn einen Ort, d.h. jemanden, in dem du weiterleben wirst.
    - Die Emendierung zu zꜣ=〈k〉 nach den Parallelen oWien 14 und oDeM 1208; Helck vermutet eine ursprüngliche Lesung bꜣ=k: "dein Ba".
    - wnn=k steht in oDeM 1205, in oChicago OIC 17002+17003 und in oDeM 1208.
    - qd: in oDeM 1206 und in oChicago OIC 17002+17003 steht die Graphie jqd, was vom Substantiv qd.w, Var. jqd.w: "Maurer, Töpfer" hervorgerufen sein wird. Lichtheim (gefolgt von Burkard und Thissen) übersetzt jedoch "emphatisch" (also 2. Tempus j.qd=k) mit anschließendem Umstandssatz (s. hierunter).
    - jw jri̯ wurde auch anders aufgefaßt, was zu anderen Interpretationen führte. Tatsächlich wäre ein Passiv möglich: in oChicago OIC 17002+17003 steht vielleicht [jw jri̯.t]?w? [n]=k und in oDeM 1208 steht jw jri̯.y n=k. Andere Interpretationen:
    (1) jw jri̯=〈j〉: Posener, in: RdE 9, 1952, 113: "Tu bâtiras une maison pour ton fils, tandis que j'ai fait pour toi le lieu où tu habites (?)."; Simpson: "May you build a house for your son, for [I] have built for you the place where you are."
    (2) pass. jw jri̯.w: Helck: "Wenn du dein Haus für deinen 〈Ba〉 baust, so ist dir ein Ort geschaffen, an dem du sein wirst." (ähnlich Brunner und Roccati, aber mit "Sohn" statt "Ba").
    (3) jw jri̯.n=k als Umstandssatz: Lichtheim: "It is for the son you build a house, / When you make a place for yourself." (ähnlich Burkard und Thissen); Vernus: "À toi de construire une maison pour ton fils, / Une fois que tu auras fait un endroit où tu seras."
