Für die Regierungszeit des Piye wird aber nicht die von Broekman selbst favorisierte kurze Chronologie (Regierungsantritt 740), sondern seine lange Chronologie (Tab. IV: Regierungsantritt 744) angesetzt, wenn auch aus dem rein pragmatischen Grund, dass dadurch sein Feldzug nach Ägypten etwa in das Jahr 724/23 und damit kurz nach den Regierungsantritt des Tefnacht fällt.
