Gunn / Gardiner, in: JEA 5, 1918, 46; Kroeber, Neuägyptizismen, 94-95; Smith / Smith, Texts, 59; Bresciani, Letteratura, 247 u.a. übersetzen ḥwi̯.t als Infinitiv, parallel zu nḥm; Redford, in: E. Oren (Ed.), The Hyksos, 13 übersetzt passivisch (d.h. er nimmt eine Form ḥwi̯.t(w) an) und mit Vergangenheitstempus: "to rescue Egypt which the Asiatics have destroyed". Misslungen ist die Lesung von Hofmann, Königsnovelle, 106: jb=j nḥm Km.t ḥnꜥ ꜥꜣmw; ihre Übersetzung S. 108: "Es ist mein Wille, der Ägypten retten wird vor den Asiaten."
