Comment on this place: Die Stele wurde während der Grabungen von G. Steindorff im Chephren-Komplex im Schutt des Torbaus des Sphinx-Tempels gefunden; siehe G. Steindorff, in Hölscher, Grabmal, 160. Nach Steindorff stammt das Objekt ursprünglich aus dem Sphinx-Tempel, nach PM III.1, 38 und Klug, Stelen, 318 war es, wie alle Stelen der Serie, vermutlich in die Lehmziegel-Schutzmauer Thutmosis’ IV. eingelassen.
