  • - nsr: wird teilweise als Substantiv (Westendorf, Grammatik, 245, § 333.6 mit Anm. 2: "hochgradige Hitze"; MedWb I, 482: "Entzündung", Substantiv oder Infinitiv; Westendorf, Papyrus Edwin Smith, 79: "Man sagt (dazu): entzündet sein bis zur Hoch(gradigkeit)"; Allen, Art of Medicine, 99: "The high temperature is called inflammation") und teilweise als Verbalform verstanden (Breasted, Surgical Papyrus, 385-386: "inflamed is said concerning the height" mit Verweis auf Pseudopartizip-Beispielen; Bardinet, Papyrus médicaux, 513: "dite 'brûlante' à cause de l'importance (de la fièvre)"; Westendorf, Handbuch Medizin, 737 übersetzt als Partizip: "entzündet bis zur Hochgradigkeit"). Westendorf, Grammatik, 127, § 177 gibt drei Beispiele für absolut gebrauchte Pseudopartizipien in direkter Rede, darunter nS.w in Glosse E dieses Falles 41 (Kol. 14.16).
    - r qꜣ.t: wird teilweise als adverbiale Erweiterung von ḏd: "sagen über/in Bezug auf" (Breasted, Surgical Papyrus, 384; Bardinet, Papyrus médicaux, 513; Allen, Art of Medicine, 99) und teilweise als adverbiale Erweiterung von nsr (parallel zu šf und r ꜥꜣ.t wr.t: siehe Westendorf, Grammatik, 245, § 333.6) betrachtet. Die Übersetzung von Sanchez/Meltzer, Edwin Smith Papyrus, 253 ist nicht möglich ohne eine Emendierung vorzunehmen (Wortumstellung): "it means that it is very greatly swollen and inflamed, one says / (there) is said 'rising'."
