dj: Zur Frage, ob das Wort dj(.w) (z.B. Caminos, S. 406) oder spd (so Jäger, S. 281, Anm. t nach Wb V, 112,2-5) zu transkribieren ist, vgl. die Bemerkung von A.H. Gardiner, Egyptian Hieratic Texts. Transcribed, Translated and Annotated, Series I, Literary Texts of the New Kingdom, Part I, The Papyrus Anastasi I and the Papyrus Koller. Together with Parallel Texts, Leipzig, 1911, S. 16*, Anm. 7. Dort führt er an, dass die drei ihm bekannten hieroglyphischen Beispiele aus der 2. Zwischenzeit und dem Neuen Reich (zu einem weiteren (?) Beleg vgl. die Bemerkung von Dévaud auf DZA 29.162.110) mit dem Spitzbrot (Gardiner X8: dj) und nicht mit dem Dorn (Gardiner M44: spd) geschrieben seien. Ebd. führt er an, dass ihn Sethe mit Verweis auf Urk. IV, 240 auf eine gelegentliche Vertauschung beider Zeichen in der 18. Dynastie hingewiesen habe. In The Wilbour Papyrus, Vol. II, Commentary, Oxford 1948, S. 118, Anm. 1 wies Gardiner nochmals auf seine frühere Lesung hin und merkte an, dass das Wb keinen Beleg aufführen könne, der für die Transkription spd spräche. Sethes Anmerkung erwähnte er nicht noch einmal.
