- – Aushackungen und Restaurierungen: In der Mitte des Bildfeldes befindet sich eine Restaurierungskolumne von Sethos I., d.h. es hat zuvor Aushackungen und Restaurierungen gegeben. Vermutlich wurde die Stele vollständig abgearbeitet, weil der Name des Amun auf dem vorhandenen Objekt unbeschädigt ist; siehe Bryan, Reign of Thutmose IV, 231 Anm. 245.

Comment on this place: Die Stele wurde während der Grabungskampagne 1958-59 von M. Abdul-Qader Muhammad an der Nordflanke der Ostseite des Pylons Ramses’ II. gefunden; siehe Abdul-Qader Muhammad, in: ASAE 60, 1968, 242-244. Klug, Stelen, 333 Anm. 2611 glaubt, den Fundbereich zwischen dem Pylon und den Widdersphingen eingrenzen zu können. Sie nimmt (S. 333) auch aufgrund der ähnlichen Maße wie bei der anderen Stele Thutmosis’ IV. an, dass beide Stelen ursprünglich als Paar an den Pylon-Seiten, etwa im Eingangsbereich, angebracht waren.

Die Stele befindet sich im Grabungsmagazin in Luxor; so Bryan, Reign of Thutmose IV, 110 mit Anm. 107, wobei sie einschränkend hervorhebt, dass dies wenigstens im Jahre 1982 so war, als sie die Stele auf Photographien von Objekten im Magazin wiedererkannte.
