  • Jahr 4 Sobekhoteps VIII.; die Kartusche des Königs und die Jahresangabe sind erhalten. Bei Muhammad, in: ASAE 59, 1966, 148 wird er noch als Sobekhotep III. geführt, nach aktueller Zählung ist es Sobekhotep VIII.; siehe J. von Beckerath, Untersuchungen zur politischen Geschichte der Zweiten Zwischenzeit in Ägypten, ÄF 23, Glücksstadt 1964, 259-260 (Nr. XIII K); Ryholt, Political Situation, 388 (Nr. 16/3) und J. v. Beckerath, Handbuch der ägyptischen Königsnamen, 2. verb. Auflage, MÄS 49, Mainz 1999, 104; bei Beckerath, Abriss der Geschichte des Alten Ägypten, München / Wien 1971 ist er wiederum als Sobekhotep VII. gelistet.
